Here's Karen and me dancing at Tom and Lauren's wedding in Salt Lake City, January 1999. Somehow the shooter, Sean Graf, managed to take an action picture with every single wedding guest in it. |

This picture with John E. was
shot in Ennis, Montana. |

What I love about this picture of Karen, under Goofy's left "arm," is it reveals the tireless happiness that defined her life. Who knows when this picture was taken? Or who took it or who the other girl is? I'd say Karen is 16 and the year is 1982 judging by the look of Karen's haircut. Clearly Pat Benetar was still a hot item at the time. |

Here is Karen at Mo Radick's baby shower, November 2002, with her hand on Mo's belly. |
|
My mom, feeling gyped out of participating in her son's wedding, threw a celebration for Karen and Brian in Mill Creek Canyon outside Salt Lake City on Oct. 28, 2001, Karen's 35th birthday. Karen wore the same dress that her Grandma Amoia wore to her wedding in 1935. The artist behind this photo is Sean Graf, the legendary wedding photographer who shot Tom Moyer and Lauren Barros' wedding. |

Duck Creek: Brian and Karen decided to get married the old-fashioned way on Sept. 23, 2001. They found a guy in West Yellowstone named Mike Bryer, an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church to preside over an absolutely legit ceremony near his house on the banks of Duck Creek, the Madison tributary that flows in Hebgen Lake. |

Just after Karen's own wedding, her good friend Sam Whitney got married in Maine. This picture was taken early in the evening of Sam's bachelorette party in Salt Lake City. As you can see Sam is getting ready to go off and Karen is bracing herself for the coming storm. Several witnesses later said things got out of hand when the party moved to the Zephyr and Sam's pink disco suit kept "falling off." Sam woke at our house the next morning with her clothes tied tightly to her body. |

Karen and John E. dancing in the rain. Judging from the crappy weather, and John E.'s hair configuration and freak attire, this photo has been placed at Bozofest in the mid-1990s. |
